Fed Up and Speaking Out: Post-Election Thoughts

Hi Everyone, Welcome Back

Well, here we are, a week post-election, and y’all… I’m still trying to wrap my head around what just happened. I can’t believe how racist and sexist this country truly is. Like seriously, some of y’all would rather have a convicted felon running the country than an educated, experienced, and intelligent Black woman? Make it make sense, because I just don’t get it.

Sorry, y’all, today’s post is more of a vent because I need to get this off my chest. And to add insult to injury, he also won the popular vote! Like… WHO DOES THAT?

To my fellow Black people, let me tell you something real quick: he ain’t about to hand out no more checks. The only reason y’all got money from him during his first term was because of COVID. That’s it. Period. How y’all don’t see that is beyond me.

And let’s not even get started on the misinformation. Y’all see one thing about a candidate, don’t fact-check it, and just run with it like it’s gospel. This man is out here talking about turning this country into a dictatorship, not a democracy. And y’all were okay with that?

Now some of the people who voted for him are already regretting it. But nah, don’t start regretting it now. Y’all should’ve done your homework before casting that vote. I’m so fed up, y’all. For real.

All I gotta say is this: stay safe. And if you’ve got the means to leave this country, take any family who’s willing and get out while you still can. I pray things don’t get worse, but honestly, only time will tell.
